MYP Transdisciplinary Skills Posters
Transdisciplinary skills are a set of agreed upon skills that literally transcend specific subject disciplines. For example, each subject area should be ensuring that students are gaining valuable skills in communicting, researching, thinking, self-management and socialising. What this looks like may be different from class to class, however. I was in Renee Stewart's grade one classroom one day and saw that she had a transdisciplinary chart up that said, in very simple language, what skills are taught in the early years. I was so inspired that I immediately ran upstairs and had a think about what transdisciplinary skills would *look like* in a music classroom. The new Arts Guide (2014/2015) lists an Arts example of each of the trandisciplinary skills, so my next project is making posters for those as well.
PYP / MYP Learner Profile Certificates
I made these certificates in my first year of teaching PYP music. Back then I was a little overwhelmed with all the terminology, but I was trying to do my best. Five years later, I look back and realise that I had the names wrong on the certificates - These read, "PYP Student Profile Certificate." Oh well. If they are useful, then please take them.
IB Learner Profile Posters
These are the learner profile posters that go with the blank certificates found above. They are in A3 size.
Updated Learning Profile Posters - 2015
My MYP coordinator asked whether I'd have time to make up some Learner Profile posters that were more mature so that they could be suitable for our high schoolers. This is what I came up with. Enjoy!
